Primary Teacher(MPS/UPS) & Teaching Assistant: Tresco & Bryher Base

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic Primary Teacher  along with a caring and supportive Teaching Assistant for Tresco & Bryher Base. We have a two-bedroomed house house with spectacular views waiting for the right “couple” - this could be a partnership or friendship arrangement.

The Primary Teacher would work mainly with our Key Stage 2 children but there will be opportunities to work with the whole base as well as with the wider school.  The Base has a Reception/KS1 class and a KS2 class with currently 9 pupils that boat from Bryher daily and 8 pupils that come from Tresco. We are looking for someone who will relish this opportunity to join a creative team with high expectations for all children to provide quality first teaching, develop an exciting and engaging curriculum and work in partnership with the Base Leader, the primary team across the islands and our partner primary schools on the mainland. The successful candidate will be working with a small class of adventurous and committed learners to build on our developing culture of high attainment and progress at KS2.

The Teaching Assistant would support the learning and medical needs of the 17 children on the base. Training will be provided if required for someone new to this type of role.
