Headteacher's Message

I want to reassure you that Five Islands Academy and the Leading Edge Academies Partnership are here to support your children and the wider community as much as we can while we all play our part in the fight against Covid-19.

There is no one way to organise home learning - every family will find a way that works for them. Learning should be rewarding, not stressful. Please don't be intimidated by Facebook posts describing studious children, busy learning schedules and even the wearing of school uniform - that's not what I expect or want. I want children to be safe, creative, curious, active and above all, to have fun. Routines are important for many, so agree a routine but build in time for play and exploration. Your family - your way!

Please encourage your child to keep in touch and share their learning with their teachers and teaching assistant via Seesaw or Firefly. If they come across problems, try our troubleshooting guides and if they don't work please contact the class teacher or form tutor.

Happy Learning!
